Folio Team
Since Open Studio, we've spent most of our time on the part of Folio your clients actually touch: the gallery itself. This update brings a stronger first impression, easier ways to share individual photographs, and a collection of small refinements that make viewing and managing your work feel steadier.
For studios with custom branding, portfolios and galleries can now open with a full-width banner. A gallery banner can be an image of its own or a photograph already in the collection, with the title and details placed over it in a quiet, editorial layout. A softly blurred preview keeps the page composed while the full banner comes into view.

The editor mirrors the public result as you work, so the page you compose is the page your visitors meet. Portfolio social links can also carry an optional label now, giving you a little more control over how they read.
Every photograph in a public gallery can now have a link of its own. Open a photo in the lightbox and share it directly; the recipient arrives at that image, with the rest of the gallery still around it.
These links work naturally with browser navigation and include a fitting image preview when shared in places that support one. It is a small change that makes it much easier to point a client toward a particular frame without sending a screenshot or explaining where to look.
A collection of smaller changes makes public galleries feel more settled:
Subscription and billing screens now do a better job of explaining what comes next. There are clearer notices before a subscription ends, a calmer read-only state when editing is paused, and a smoother path back when you are ready to continue. Promotion codes are also supported during checkout.
As ever, there is a layer of work intended to go unnoticed: draft and published galleries behave more predictably while you edit, custom domains and shared pages receive stronger checks, and email delivery, monitoring, and testing are more dependable across the journeys that matter most.
The aim is the same as always. Your pages should feel composed, your links should keep working, and the technology should recede behind the photographs.
Thank you for continuing to shape Folio with us. If there is something you would like the studio to do next, write to us at [email protected].
