Changelog

Since the Open studio update, we've spent most of our time on the part of Folio your clients actually touch: the gallery itself. This update brings a stronger first impression, easier ways to share individual photos, and a set of small refinements that make viewing and managing your work feel steadier.

A stronger first impression

With custom branding, portfolios and galleries can now open with a full-width banner. A gallery banner can be an image of its own or a photo already in the gallery, with the title and details placed over it in a quiet, editorial layout. A softly blurred preview keeps the page composed while the full banner comes into view.

The editor mirrors the public result as you work, so the page you compose is the page your visitors meet. Portfolio social links can also carry an optional label now, giving you a little more control over how they read.

Share a single photo

Every photo in a public gallery can now have a link of its own. Open a photo in the lightbox and share it directly; the visitor arrives at that photo, with the rest of the gallery still around it.

These links work naturally with browser navigation and include a fitting image preview when shared in places that support one. It is a small change that makes

It has been a little while since our first note. Since then, Folio has grown from a simple way to publish a gallery into a more complete home for client delivery: calmer to manage, faster to view, and easier to make your own.

This update is less about one large feature and more about the quiet work of making the whole room feel considered.

Branded portfolios and custom domains

Your galleries can now sit inside a more complete portfolio presence. Add your studio logo, social links, and a primary domain for your portfolio so public pages feel like they belong to you from the first click.

We also made custom domains feel more settled: clearer setup, better handling when a domain is still being connected, and more consistent branding across public gallery pages.

Watermarks

Watermark management is now available in settings. You can add image watermarks, tune the default placement, preview them against a transparency grid, and delete them with a clearer confirmation flow.

We also added text watermark editing, improved watermark image sizing, and fixed a few publishing edges so published galleries keep the right watermark.

A better lightbox

We're excited to introduce Folio — a quiet, intentional space for photographers to share their work.

Why we built this

Delivering photos to clients should feel as considered as taking them. But too often, the tools we have get in the way — confusing interfaces, sluggish galleries, onboarding flows that feel like paperwork. You spend hours on a shoot, and then the final handoff happens through something that doesn't reflect your care or your craft.

We wanted something different. A place where your photos land softly, load fast, and look the way they deserve to. No clutter, no learning curve. Just the work — presented with the same intention you put into making it.
