Open Studio

This update opens a few more doors. Some of what's new is for everyone: free tools you can use without an account. The rest is for the people who spend their days inside Folio: a calmer dashboard, a more capable gallery editor, and more ways to make your public pages feel unmistakably yours.

Free tools, no account needed

We've published two small tools that are free for anyone to use. Share them with a friend, keep them bookmarked, no sign-up required.

Watermark Tool

Drop in a photo, add your mark, and download it back. A quick way to protect an image before you send it out into the world. Try it out here.

Curious what camera, lens, or settings made a shot? Load a photo and Folio reads the details captured the moment the shutter fired. Try it out here.

A redesigned dashboard

The dashboard has been rebuilt around a calmer, more consistent layout. Settings, your galleries, the trash, and the loading moments in between all feel more of a piece now.

Spring Studio Update

It has been a little while since our first note. Since then, Folio has grown from a simple way to publish a gallery into a more complete studio for client delivery: calmer to manage, faster to view, and easier to make your own.

This update is less about one large feature and more about the quiet work of making the whole room feel considered.

Branded portfolios and custom domains

Your galleries can now sit inside a more complete portfolio presence. Add your studio logo, social links, and a primary project domain so public pages feel like they belong to you from the first click.

We also made custom domains feel more settled: clearer setup, better handling when a domain is still being connected, and more consistent branding across public gallery pages.

Watermarks

Watermark management is now available in settings. You can add image watermarks, tune the default placement, preview them against a transparency grid, and remove them with a clearer confirmation flow.

We also added text watermark editing, improved watermark image sizing, and fixed a few publishing edges so protected gallery versions keep the right watermark state.

Initial Release

We're excited to introduce Folio — a quiet, intentional space for photographers to share their work.

Why we built this

Delivering photos to clients should feel as considered as taking them. But too often, the tools we have get in the way — confusing interfaces, sluggish galleries, onboarding flows that feel like paperwork. You spend hours on a shoot, and then the final handoff happens through something that doesn't reflect your care or your craft.

We wanted something different. A place where your photos land softly, load fast, and look the way they deserve to. No clutter, no learning curve. Just the work — presented with the same intention you put into making it.
